The race leaves Tree Phones and climbs 1,800 feet over White's Ridge, descends 1,800 to Grey Rock Trailhead, then climbs 1,900 feet over Foundation Ridge to the turn-around at Ewe Neck. The return route reverses the outbound route back to Tree Phones Campground.
The elevation keeps the temperatures down making for ideal running conditions despite the hot summer month.
